First day on the road

The next day, it was time to finally leave the state. Bernie disconnected the water and electric and we were finally headed to Georgia.

But ... first things first. On our way, we stopped in Jacksonville FL for dinner at Clark's Fish Camp. They serve the biggest prime rib you've ever seen. This is Mar's favorite place for prime rib. So of course, it was a sure thing we would stop for dinner. This prime rib is BIG, so big it was falling off the platter (see pic). We also got fried green tomatoes.

We sat outside and enjoyed the view and the sunset. A little gator visited us, he was about four feet long, he is the little spot in the pic of the water. The evening was perfect. Under the cover of the outside deck it seemed peaceful and wonderful. What a meal! Needless to say we had plenty of leftovers. After dinner (hardly being able to walk) we drove the rest of the way to the campground at Jekyll Island GA and set up camp.
